Gibran Caroline Boyce is a multimedia reporter covering Washington and the world and production assistant at NBC News. She reports on how power, politics, conflict, and identity shape lives across borders. Boyce earned a master’s degree in broadcast and international reporting from Newmark J-School and a bachelor’s degree in international studies and journalism from Boston College. She previously interned on the production team at CNN, Fareed Zakaria GPS.

Based in New York City, she has developed skills as a multimedia journalist (MMJ), anchor, field reporter, photo/videographer, and editor on day-turn deadlines. Boyce’s reporting has aired on NBC news, Spectrum NY1, and the NYCity News Service. She has experience using the Canon XF605 camera, editing on Avid and Adobe Premiere Pro, and creating visual social media content across platforms. Her skills and interests extend to both breaking news packages and short field documentaries for digital and broadcast.

In 2025, Boyce began her career as an international correspondent with EVN Report in Armenia, covering security and culture in the aftermath of decades-long border conflict. Her reporting and photos from the U.S.-Mexico Border have appeared in The Guardian, El País, and more.

    Gibran Caroline Boyce is a Trinidadian-American multimedia journalist from Long Island, NY, covering Washington and the world. She reports on how power, conflict and identity shape lives across borders via broadcast, narrative written features, investigations and photojournalism. A Boston College graduate, Boyce is an Ida B. Wells Society Scholar at the Newmark J-School, where she is pursuing a master’s degree in international reporting and broadcast journalism.

    In 2025, Boyce began her reporting career interning with EVN Report in Armenia, covering geopolitics, national security and culture during the tail end of decades-long border conflict. Her reporting and photos from the U.S.-Mexico Border have appeared in The Guardian, El País and more. She previously interned at CNN on Fareed Zakaria GPS and aired her first broadcast news package on Spectrum News NY1. Boyce aspires to continue her work with in-depth coverage of Washington, geopolitics and international security — centering the communities affected by it all.
